Information about Omar
I will always customise and tailor my lessons towards each student`s individual needs. I will utilise the first hour to develop a rapport, identify current abilities, structure a study plan and agree on objectives.
I like to maintain a tracker sheet for each student and will update this at the end of each lesson. This ensures the student is the gaining the most from each lesson and is progressing in line with the objectives.
In between lessons, I like to set homework and reading material to help re-enforce what was discussed.
Availability: I am very flexible with my availability. I available to work every day of the week, mornings, afternoons or evenings.
Willing to travel: 20 miles
Experience: I have previous experience of tutoring maths, physics and chemistry at GCSE level.
As part of my job I have taken on the role of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) ambassador which has helped me gain the necessary teaching skills to successfully tutor and develop a students knowledge in a given subject. I continue to support, mentor and nourish students of all backgrounds and abilities in all areas of STEM.
I am a full time professional engineer working for a multi-national defence company. As part of day to day role I conduct systems analysis and simulation modelling. This requires me to utilise and depend on mathematical equations and scientific theories.
