Information about Rosemary
I have a full time position as a Genetic Technologist in the NHS and I have also previously worked as a molecular biologist in private industry therefore I use maths and science principals every day. In terms of my own education, I have myself struggled with exams as a younger student however improving my exam techniques and confidence helped me to improve and I now have a Masters degree in Genetics of Human Disease, from UCL and an undergraduate degree in Biological and Medical Sciences from University of Liverpool.
For me I tutor because I enjoy helping students to better understand Science and Maths as I feel an improved understanding is much more applicable to later life than people realise as well as important for improving exam results.
I`m a happy, positive person and I enjoy building a good student-teacher relationship which I think helps my students to feel more confident in answer questions and trusting their knowledge.

Experience: I have 2 years experience of tutoring through TutorHunt at KS3 and GCSE. In addition I have also tutored KS3 and GCSE with students not through TutorHunt. I have tutored both in person and online. I hope to provide my students with guidance through the course content and their general exam period. I try to be as flexible as possible and am always happy to be guided by the students ability in different topics.

My daughter found Rosie to be a bright, bubbly, hardworking tutor who was dedicated to meeting her study-needs in GCSE Chemistry. She was knowledgeable and they connected really well. My daughter developed a better understanding of Chemistry and enjoyed her tutorials. Rosie also supplemented the sessions with well-constructed revision slides. I recommend Rosie as a tutor.

Rosemary seems like a lovely person, however as I was listening to the tutor session it was clear my daughter wasn`t understanding the material. A good tutor would have been able to pick this up. The lesson also finished in 45 minutes rather than the complete hour, the reasoning given was there wasn`t enough time to start anything new, but perhaps she could have set some practice questions for my daughter to try to consolidate her learning rather than just ending the session. We have another tutor and the difference between Rosemary and the new tutor is very clear. Our new tutor is absolutely fantastic.
