Santiago

Current Cello teacher at SWS Music School and former Cello teacher at the Monteverdi Conservatory from September 2021 to 2022 and at "La fábrica de música" from 2021 to the present. Santiago was born in Nottingham, United Kingdom, in 1997. He currently works as principal cellist in the Ars Combinatoria association, offering regular concerts of baroque music and contemporary music. He frequently attends Early Music courses at the University of Salamanca, where Hiro Kurosaki, Itxiar Atutxa, Pedro Gandía and Andoni Mercero teach, among others. He has received classes from Suzana Stefanovic, Aldo Mata, and has participated in projects with international soloists. He is part of the JOSS and has collaborated in different national youth orchestras and early music chamber projects.
He has completed his higher studies in interpretation in the specialty of Baroque Cello at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, with José Manuel Hernández as a teacher on February 6, 2023.
Santiago has made several music recordings, including television projects such as television commercials and soundtracks such as "La entrega" and films with Nico Casal as composer, an artist with whom he has performed in several concerts.
Santiago has recently performed as a soloist at venues such as the Teatro Jovellanos and the Real Oratorio Caballero de Gracia.

Experience: Santiago has been teaching to students all ages since January 2018 in different music schools and in the Monteverdi Conservatory in Spain. He has also written a method on how to play the cello using his own techniques and methods
