I live in Yorkshire with my husband and we have 2 grown up children. I enjoy walking, caravanning, swimming and watching period dramas.

Availability: Every day except Mondays.

I taught phonics in a main stream school until July 2022. I have 9 years experience and I am passionate about helping children age range 4-7 who are struggling with learning to read and spellings. I create a stress free environment and work at a pace which the child is comfortable with.
Initially I assess the child to see where the starting point to work with him/her will be.
The lesson will be a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 60 minutes. The lesson duration will be for what is the effective focus length for the child in question.. The child has new learning added every lesson.
Progress occurs through the child enjoying the clear precise teaching in a cheerful environment.
I assess progress every 3 or 4 weeks and communicate this to the parent/guardian
I charge £13 per session.
