Information about Catherine
I am a hard-working, organised and dedicated teacher. I adopt a logical and thorough approach to teaching i.e. identify what the end goal is, assess where a student is in relation to this goal and then tailor/deliver a teaching programme to enable individuals to reach their goal(s) as effectively and efficiently as possible. I believe that communication is a key factor in this process i.e. between teacher, student and parents/carers, as is enabling students to become active learners.
Availability: Daytime and evenings.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have taught for nearly 20 years and have been a Head of Department (History and Politics) and Head of Faculty (Humanities). I have worked in co-educational grammar and comprehensive schools. Students I have taught have consistently achieved excellent results and value-added scores. I have also been an external examiner for OCR (CIE) for GCSE (History) and A Level (History). I have taught a range of other Humanities subjects, in addition to History and Politics, in KS4 and KS3.

I havent managed to have Cath as a tutor due to my personal circumstances of not being able to attend an arranged zoom meeting, however she is a lovely human being and if she does have any time in the future I would always go to Cath to ask her to teach me.
