Hello! My name is Connie and I am a fourth year medical student, which means that teaching is part of my usual routine. As well as having five years of experience as a tutor, I`m also the oldest of four, so am used to working with children of all ages.

Outside of medicine I have an interest in film-making and reading, which I incorporate into my working life - I write specialist reports on novels and scri pts for film companies. I run a successful Wilderness Training Course at my university, which teaches students of all years how to perform medicine in the wild, so I’m very comfortable sharing academic and personal knowledge and experience.

I am also part of the football team at university. I also work as part of the PAL scheme, which involves tutoring medical students in the years below me that are struggling with the syllabus.

Availability: I am principally available during the week. Weekends I am usually away at conferences/hiking trips, but can make myself available with due notice.

I am currently working 9-5 most days in hospital, however I have availability all day Wednesdays and most evenings.

I am happy to travel and to work around a student`s timetable.

Experience: I have experience tutoring children from 11+ to GCSE and up to A Level Biology. I specialise in the sciences, and have the most experience tutoring for Biology A Level (all boards). I have also worked as a teaching assistant at City and Islington College.

I have worked as a private tutor for multiple families, generally with children between the ages of 10-17. I have mostly worked with students preparing for 11+ exams, GCSES and Biology A Level. References from my previous employers are available upon request.

Apart from tutoring work, I have some experience working as a waitress, scri pt-reader, a deckhand and miscellaneous healthcare volunteering jobs.
