I am a fully qualified secondary school teacher with 10 years of experience teaching in addition to five years experience in youth information services and guidance roles. I currently teach English at all levels in a mainstream Scottish secondary school and have been an official SQA marker at Higher level for 6 years.

I have been closely involved in the development and delivery of the Literacy across Learning strategy within our establishment and also have first hand experience of developing the National 5 and the new Higher courses within our faculty in addition to work carried out in a consultancy role for the Professional Learning Academy.

I have tutored for 11 years and have consistently had excellent results with my students.

I am focused and dedicated to the development of my students and know the skills and abilities required to pass the exams at all levels yet also the importance of maintaining a supportive and encouraging relationship with my students.

Availability: Weekday evenings and weekends - slots fill up fast but I will try to accommodate where I can.
