Information about Francesca
Hello there!
I am 22yo, and I am currently doing a Master in Philosophy at the University of Sussex. I graduated last year at the University of Westminster (London) in French and English language, and I also have two jobs: I have been teaching French in a school in Hove for the past two years, and I am also an Activity Leader for LSI (an international language school) in Hove.
I also have experience in dealing with children on the spectrum and with PDA. Working with them has been an experience which has allowed me to develop diverse strategies of teaching.
I also love travelling and learning about other cultures (I visited most of Europe, went two China two years ago, and I will be going to Cuba in April [from 2nd-25th]).
To conclude, my interests are very varied and change overtime: I like learning new skills and new subjects because I see it as a way to discover myself and what I truly like. I always try to encourage my students into pursuing different things in life rather that being stagnant and not advancing.
Some of my passions are Illustrating (with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop), writing and (lately) reading about effective business and marketing strategies.
However, I have also played the piano for over 12 years (I attended a musical conservatory in Italy, and won several Italian national contests); and have dedicated most of my afternoons during my teenage years in going to drama classes.
Availability: The easiest way to know my availability is by contacting me: leading a very busy life, my available times and dates can change quite rapidly. However, I am flexible.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: Notwithstanding my age, the experience I have gained in teaching over the years is quite extensive.
Firstly, I grew up in a school-ish environment: my mother is an English teacher and has her own private school in Italy. When I lived there, I started helping her and working with her at the age of thirteen. She used to pay me, therefore, this experience taught me the notions of responsibility and hard-work at a very young age.
During my years at the Classical Lyceum (Italy), I also took part in several conferences that involved giving lectures on books we had read to large audiences. This experience was part of the Gutenberg Project (which happens every year at the end of May).
During my second year of university in London I volunteered in Chelsea Academy, and the following year, I was employed at The Drive Prep School in Hove (where I currently teach French).
Although, I have mainly listed school jobs and experiences, I occasionally work on translations and editing.

Francesca is totally committed to the school and the pupils. I have found her to be a great teacher and thoroughly pleasant.
