Information about David
I really enjoy teaching languages to others, from absolute beginners to A level. l also enjoy learning languages in my spare time. I recognise how challenging and rewarding it is to learn a foreign language from my Latin and French lessons at school, and studying Spanish and Italian at university. I still spend my free time teaching myself different languages. At the moment I`m learning German!
I understand the challenges that language learners face, both from my own experiences of learning languages, and my work in schools. I am very enthusiastic and flexible and I also recognise that advising on study techniques and resources are sometimes just as important as new words and phrases.
Availability: I am happy to travel to you for lessons or to tutor at my home. I am available term time, Saturday mornings and holidays.

Experience: I am an experienced Spanish and French teacher and have been preparing students for GCSE and A level exams for more than 20 years in secondary schools. I have also worked in primary schools and taught adult conversation classes. I have a BA(Hons) in Modern Languages and PGCE secondary. I am up to date with new specifications in both French and Spanish GCSE & A LEVEL with AQA and Edexcel. Currently, I teach secondary students up to A level standard and conduct GCSE and A level speaking exams in both French and Spanish.

We recently started with David for my son to help him with both GCSE French and Spanish. He has been a massive help and has helped my son have more of an understanding of both languages. He is very punctual and keen to help his students. He is really polite and my son really likes his way of teaching. I would recommend David for anyone looking for tutoring in both these languages.

I was looking for a tutor to help my daughter complete her studies for her GCSE Spanish. She had been self teaching following a move to a new school that did not have Spanish on the curriculum but would facilitate her exams. Therefore, it was vital that we engaged a tutor that could help her progress to the level required to ensure she passed her GCSE. David proved to be that tutor. He is thoroughly professional and engaging in his approach to learning and it is clear that he has a real love for the language. Not only did he make the lessons enjoyable but he provided additional learning aids and methods to build my daughters knowledge and capability. His understanding of the exam process and structure of marking helped my daughter to focus on key areas. Nothing was to much trouble and his aim is to ensure that the student has the best possible chance of success. My daughter looked forward to her lessons and I can report that she passed her GCSE. I can say that a huge part of that was down to Davids tutoring. I have nothing but the highest regard for David and can recommend him without hesitation.
