Hi, my name’s Chris.

I love Maths and helping to build others’ enjoyment and understanding of the subject.

I am a fully qualified Maths teacher with two years’ experience in an outstanding-rated school, as well as four years’ experience leading undergraduate problem classes. I also have an MSci in Maths and Statistics and a PhD in Applied Mathematics.

I am familiar with the current GCSE and A-Level specifications, particularly Edexcel. I am also familiar with KS3 teaching, in particular the ‘mastery learning’ currently widely used in classrooms.

I am calm, patient, and diligent. I work hard to ensure my students experience an encouraging and nurturing learning environment, tailored to their needs.

Outside of my teaching career, I have worked extensively in Economic Statistics, and completed a PhD in mathematical modelling of biological evolution.
