Information about Peter
I am a friendly and relaxed tutor, who can help students look at mathematics questions in different ways, finding a way that suits them and that they can remember. I enjoy Mathematics and try to help my students to enjoy it too.
In my spare time, I try to keep fit by cycling and going to the gym and I volunteer with the local Parks Trust to organise events in our area. I am also a Governor at my local Primary School, with special responsibility for themanagement of Finance and the teaching of Numeracy, Science and Design Technology.
Availability: I am normally available between 3.00 and 7.00 pm weekdays and on Saturday afternoons, which seems to suit most of my students. Lessons could be arranged during the day Mon - Fri by request.

Experience: I have been successfully tutoring Maths at GCSE for 4 years.
During my earlier career in the Army, I spent 2 years as an Instructor at the Royal School of Signals.

We have had two lessons with Peter already and my son is really enjoying them.
They are working through past GCSE exams papers and learning where the gaps in knowledge are so that they can build on these.
Peter is easy to get along with, has a sense of humour and gets down to work quickly in a no-nonsense style which means that the hour is filled with learning!
