Information about Prableen
I am a fourth year pharmacy student and an experienced tutor in Science, Math and English subjects ranging from primary to A level. I am a kind and friendly person who is experienced in tutoring a range of ages and am able to adapt to the student`s needs. I know that every student is different and has different learning styles, which is why I will initially work with the student and their parent (if necessary) to help the student receive the most benefit from our sessions. I also help with personal statements when applying to UCAS applications.
I enjoy tutoring and am happy teaching students of any age and any standard. Contact me for any further details or questions.
My method of teaching accommodates the ability and needs of my individual students. I also mentor students and provide them with guidance throughout their studies, including applying for University. I would approach the lesson by preparing well in advance in order to get the most out of the session. I always make sure the student is comfortable and understands the material fully before proceeding further and feels like they can ask questions. I have found students confidence grow as the exams have come closer and for those students who are all nervous or worried by upcoming exams, I will ensure that this is no longer an issue by exam day.
I have taught all major boards including WJEC, OCR, EDEXCEL, IGCSE, NUFFIELD and AQA. My teaching experience has allowed me to build a body of knowledge on how to pass all the major exams. The style of the exam questions and how to answer them is individual to each board and to obtain the maximum marks often a student needs explanation and help with exam technique, this is something that I now have a good deal of experience in. I make sure to go through the mark scheme closer to exam time and ensure the student has a realistic revision plan. I encourage students and I myself hold mock tests with students before the actual exam, this allows students to prepare themselves fully before entering the examination hall.
Availability: I am flexible about tutoring times and can be available most days and evenings.
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: I have previously tutored students when I was in sixth form and I have been a part time tutor (private and company based) for the past 5 years, throughout my studies. I feel that having recently completed my GCSEs and A-Levels I am able to offer a more up-to-date and current knowledge base when tutoring students. I have worked with students of widely differing abilities and levels. As we are all aware of the fact that, there is a rise in competition for University places (as I have only just gone through this process myself), I understand completely and can empathize greatly with students. I believe that you will be in safe hands to achieve the high grades you desire.
