I am an experienced Primary school teacher. I can offer tuition in Maths, and English, preparation for SATs and 11+ entrance examinations including non-verbal and verbal reasoning. I am also a qualified teacher of English as a foreign language and can accommodate children with English as a second language or SEN. I have taught throughout the primary age range and up to Year 8 in Secondary school as well as teaching English as a foreign language to both adults and children.
I offer booster sessions during the school holidays. This can take the form of two or three sessions weekly during the holidays which can help to boost confidence and mean that when your child returns to school after the holidays they feel confident and well-prepared.

For any of these options I talk to parents first, so that I can understand their exact requirements for their child.
Then the first time I meet with the child I will spend time building a rapport and will assess them so that I can arrange a programme to suit their individual needs.
I love to watch a child grow in confidence; my approach involves targeted support, lots of praise and incentives such as stickers and other rewards to motivate the child and help them to realise their potential. I will do everything I can to help your child to progress.

Tutoring would take place in the comfort of your own home or at my home by arrangement.

I live in the Longwell Green area and am willing to travel to areas within 20 mins drive.
