We cannot recommend Martyn highly enough. His teaching style and subject knowledge are superb, this together with his experience as an A level examiner have proved invaluable. We have also greatly appreciated Martyn`s honest, friendly and supportive approach. We will miss him! Our daughter was struggling to get to grips with her A level RS and was working at a grade D at best. In her recent mock exam she scored an A Thank you Martyn!

A good first meeting. The chance to talk about my study interests and goals. The feedback was helpful in putting this in context. Questions such as "Do you want to see something happen as a result of what you do? What do you want the end result to be?" helped me focus beyond matters such as "getting a qualification". It was useful to learn that getting a research question, and in that a clear sense of direction, can be a lengthy process and that it can also be an enjoyable process. Having gone into some of the arguments against Darwinism/evolutionism and those in favour of design, it was observed that "there is an awful lot of potential here and a lot of ways this could go. Research questions are narrow in focus. You need to stratify (organise) your thoughts and ideas and points and material and narrow the focus."
I am now seeking to do that (organise/stratify and narrow the focus) and hope to be back in touch before long.
Tutors Response :
Thank you very much indeed, Mark, for taking the time to write these positive comments. I really enjoyed our first meeting, and found your research-plans fascinating. I hope that we might get the chance to meet again in the future. Very best wishes, Martyn
