Information about Meera

Hello! I am a current graduate fifth year medical student at UCL having already completed a BSc in Anatomy, development and Human sciences at Kings College London. I have both revision and exam techniques, which I believe, could be of much help to students in need of help with their work. Science and particularly human biology have always been a great passion of mine and I hope to pass on my enthusiasm for the subject alongside my academic knowledge to ensure you attain the best grade possible.

As well as academic teaching I also offer help and guidance through the medical application process. Having been through the process recently and also helping several others with their applications, I feel I have developed good knowledge about the admission process and how to succeed. I understand that the medical application process and its many components can feel overwhelming and so I hope that the hints and tips I can offer will help ease the process. Whether it is the admissions tests or the interviews, I believe I can improve your chances of success and make the process a little less daunting.

Experience: I have experience tutoring students between the ages of 12-16. Over the years I have found that it is important to ensure that students have a good understanding of the underlying core material before addressing more complicated topics. The initial session is a time for us to discuss the problems you are coming across in your work, or simply what you would like to get out of these sessions. From here we will create a plan for each session in which we will set out how we will achieve your goals, whether these are short term aims i.e. solving a maths problem or longer term such as boosting your overall grade. From my own experience, I believe that exam success is not only down to understanding the content but also the exam technique, which is why my tutorials will focus on past exam questions and also advice on how to tackle the paper on the day.
