Nick

I`m Nick, a 25-year-old actor and writer based in Manchester city centre. My background and training is in performing arts, and I like to bring this creative approach to my tutoring work.

I was lucky enough to get free tutoring through my state school growing up, and this had a massive impact on my self-belief and led me to achieving successful results for my GCSEs and A Levels. As a student, I learnt a lot about the kind of barriers that people can face when learning and, as a tutor, I enjoy getting to know people and identifying individual ways of moving forward.

Outside of tutoring, I love reading books, going for walks, listening to podcasts, running, travelling and doing jigsaw puzzles.

Experience: I currently work as a tutor in primary and secondary schools across Manchester, teaching Maths and English. I love encouraging students to find their own ways to solve problems, and build a sense of confidence and control. I also work as a private tutor and help children studying for the 11+ exams, as well as at GCSE level.

Prior to this I have worked as a private tutor for several years, helping children aged 4 to 13, in London, Liverpool, Canterbury and Australia, as well as online.

I speak fluent Spanish and have experience in tutoring English, Spanish & Politics at all levels, as well as Maths, Science, History and IT at GCSE level and below. I also have up to date DBS certificate.
