Information about Jack
Hi! I`m Jack, a graduate from the University of Cambridge and experienced tutor in science and maths. I graduated last year with a double first-class BA in Physics and have been full time tutor ever since, with the goal of pursuing a career in education. I also have three years of part-time tutoring experience to students of ages 6-20.
I offer tutoring in:
- KS2, KS3 and KS4 maths and science
- 11+ and 13+ common entrance maths, science and non-verbal reasoning
- Maths (GCSE, A-Level, 1st year undergrad)
- Physics (GCSE, A-level, undergrad)
- Chemistry (GCSE, A-level)
- Oxbridge interview preparation
For young children, the key to teaching science is making it practical, interesting and, above all, fun. That`s why, although the syllabus is undeniably important, I like to go beyond it by incorporating demonstrations and real-world examples as much as possible. Not only does this make for a more enjoyable experience for the student, but it also motivates and helps them understand why we learn these things.
For more mature students, at GCSE, A-level and undergrad, I will tailor the lessons to the student. I can offer:
- teaching which will complement the student`s lessons at school.
- revision lessons for when exams are approaching.
- help with homework, assignments or problem sheets.
My rate includes notes on whatever topics we study and, where possible, extra resources to continue learning at home.
References and DBS check available on request.
I offer online tutoring and face-to-face tutoring in West London.
