An experienced, professional and motivated GCSE and English Lit A Level teacher with QTS, PDGE (Secondary English) and MA (Education & Leadership). I have worked across a range of school settings teaching 11-18 year olds, and tutored privately for 4 years achieving outcomes of Grade 8 plus. I currently teach AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam specifications and also a qualified examiner.

Experience: My teaching ethos is centred around research and evidence informed practice, embedding current pedagogical approaches to ensure success and high challenge for all students, irrespective of starting point. Students are provided with high-quality resources and detailed powerpoints to support with the sessions.

Tutoring sessions run for 60 minutes and apply recall, introduction of new material, practise and consolidating key skills in a sequenced order. All sessions involve a segment of writing practise which is live marked and edited by the student allowing for ample time to respond to feedback immediately.
