Friendly, patient and dynamic tutor with a wealth of experience in teaching English from age 8 - 80. My approach is communicative and fun - lessons are engaging and diverse, goals and objectives are set and examined regularly. I spend time to identify your learning style and preferences in order to build confidence and ensure rapid progress.

Experience: Experienced Business English/General English teacher of adults or children. MA in English Literature/English Language, Post-grad Certificate Primary Teaching, Certificate in TEFL and Certificate in International Business English Teaching (Cert IBET). Have taught learners of all ages (8 - 85) and all abilities in Texas (USA) Paris (France) and now the Bristol/Bath area, UK.
Experienced in all aspects of Business English and Academic English (inc. preparation towards IELTS and Trinity GESE) experienced in tutoring KS2 and KS3 English. I can also prepare you for the Life in the UK Test (visa requirements)

Sue’s communications are quick, friendly and so helpful. She has quickly identified areas to help my son with and we are really enjoying working with her and building his confidence for secondary school learning.

What can I say about Sue, but absolutely amazing, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. Sue engaged so quickly with our daughter, they have such a rapport and one I haven’t witnessed with any other tutor. The lessons are filled with, expert learning, support and guidance, but more importantly Sue makes learning fun and engaging. Sue is incredibly supportive, patient and really inspires our daughter, through this our daughter`s confidence and self belief has soared.Our daughter can’t wait for her lessons each week. Sue has really helped our Y7 daughter to get up to speed with her English. Our daughter enjoys her hour with Sue and has come on leaps and bounds resulting in being moved up a set mid year!
