Hi, I am a qualified science teacher of 11 years, and until recently worked in a special measures school achieving outstanding results at GCSE continuously. I now work as a lead practitioner of science in a successful secondary school in Manchester and can teach all sciences from KS3 to GCSE including triple award science. I am an enthusiastic, friendly and creative teacher with a flexible teaching style to suit the learner. My teaching uses strategies that are effective for maximising results and understanding.
I am offering tuition for Biology at GCSE and am looking to tutor a limited number of 2 to 3 students/sessions per week so that I can correctly tailor the sessions to the tutees individual needs and prepare suitable resources for the students. My sessions will involve improving scientific knowledge, use of extension activities and highlighting good exam techniques, to make sure that each tutee reaches their goal.

Availability: I am available week nights from 5pm onwards and during the day in school holidays and will take on short term `catch up` or booster sessions as well as long term. Over the holidays I can offer intensive exam technique/content revision sessions.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: 11 years of experience teaching a variety of exam boards from KS3 to KS5. Within my role I am responsible for mentoring and coaching science teaching staff to achieve maximum results in the classroom and in exams. Along with sharing good practice and resources.

My recent tutees have achieved a grade 7 and 9 in triple biology and 2 8’s in combined science.
