I am a 32 year old Mum of 4 with 7 years` experience in Civil Engineering and a 2.1 Degree in Mathematics.

At GCSE level, I tutor both Foundation and Higher Tier students. I have a very good knowledge of the Edexcel and AQA GCSE Specifications and am up-to-date with the new 2015 reforms in GCSE Maths (9-1). At A Level, I currently cover units C1 – C4, S1 & M1 for the Edexcel and AQA Exam Boards. I can also help adult learners with numeracy, particularly those who may be preparing for the teachers` Numeracy Skills Test.

During my lessons, I use a variety of techniques to ensure my students are exam-ready. We focus on gaps in their knowledge, as identified from the specification and do tutorials to target these problem areas. In addition, I set and mark past papers, making sure that the students receive detailed feedback on their performance.

I feel I have great success with my students, who respond well to my calm, methodical and flexible manner and with whom I am able to build a good rapport.

Experience: I started tutoring Maths in 2010, when I left work to start a family. To date, I have tutored 33 students from schools across Derby including Derby Grammar School, Repton School, Foremarke Hall, Ockbrook School, The Ecclesbourne School John Port, Littleover Community School, Woodlands, Murray Park, Chellaston Academy, Landau Forte, Joseph Wright Sixth Form College and St. Benedicts.
