I am passionate about music & its power to change our lives. I love to work with children & female adults, to help them develop their own musicianship & `grow their brains` through music making. I am a grade 8 musician & have 3 children of my own all of whom have also achieved grade 8 musicianship. I encouraged them to learn an instrument young as it is scientifically proven to develop new pathways in the brain as we engage in music making. This in turn has a tangible impact on other subjects such as maths & English.

I simply love teaching music!

Availability: I teach private music lessons after school during the week. I am also available Monday & Wednesday afternoons for female adult pupils.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have over 28 years music teaching experience & am currently Head of Music in a local private school part-time. I have worked with pupils with ASD for 3 years including running music interaction therapy sessions with pupils aged 11-16.

I enjoy tutoring children & adults, many of whom take exams & I have a 100% exam success rate. Some however want to learn to play a variety of music without the pressure of exams. I am equally happy to work with both types of pupil.
