Hello, I am Pritpal a private English and Law tutor based in Nottingham.

I am a qualified teacher, teacher trainer and lawyer, graduate from Nottingham Trent University and hold an enhanced DBS/CRB certificate.

If you are looking for English or Law tuition, I will help to enhance grades by tailoring a personalised learning experience to target specific needs. I have tutored and taught English at primary, secondary and tertiary (Key Stages 2 - 5) and Law at GCSE and A Level and under graduates reading Business Law with great success.

As well as classroom teaching and private home tuition, I work in national and international schools planning and delivering specialist teacher training intervention sessions.

For these teacher training sessions I have planned and delivered high quality SPAG and exam technique booster lessons, to rapidly increase grades and instill confidence and enthusiasm.

Additionally, I can provide regular assessments in line with the current curriculum to identify strengths and weaknesses that can be worked through with my specialist experience.

For adults looking to take GCSE or A Level English or Law, I can help support your learning in a way that suits your individual needs as a mature learner, working at a pace that you are comfortable with.

I also have over 20 years experience teaching ESOL and EFL courses and currently work with small adult groups, studying functional skills and IELTS. If you are a mature learner, who would like to increase your knowledge of English Language skills, from basic functional skills to pass the Life in the UK test, up to GCSE and beyond, feel free to get in touch.

Tuition is available for all ages and abilities, from primary school children to mature, adult learners and is perfect for beginner and intermediate level English Language courses, SATs, GCSEs and A Levels.

Availability: I have a flexible schedule to meet all students needs. Currently I have some morning and afternoon and evening sessions available.
Due to social distancing all face to face sessions are being conducted via Skype.

Experience: I am a qualified English and Law teacher based in West Bridgford, Nottingham. I gained an Honours degree in Law from Nottingham Trent University and a PGDL and Masters in Law from De Montfort University, Leicester.

I have taught English and Law in primary and secondary schools for over 15 years, working across the East Midlands with children of all ages and abilities.

In secondary schools I have developed my skills as an intervention specialist, working with C/D borderline groups in English and Law at GCSE and A Level, helping them achieve their desired C grades and above.

As a school teacher I have worked in the UK and as an education consultant in north Italy with SEN departments and have experience as a SENCO, working closely with students with Special Educational Needs including Dyslexia and ASD. I have delivered training sessions at an international boarding school and continue to support the school staff and pupils.

With adults, I have been teaching EFL and ESOL for over 20 years from beginners functional skills to level 3 English Language.

I am also a trained lawyer and have worked professionally within private practice making me an excellent choice to tutor Law subjects. I have successfully supported undergraduate students and A level law students achieve their goals.
