Since 2007 I have worked full time as a Maths Academic Coach in a secondary school, tutoring students on a 1:1 basis or in small targeted groups. I specialise in working with students on the GCSE grade D/C borderline and most recently those pushing to achieve a grade 4/5 in the revised Maths GCSE. I have vast experience of teaching both the Foundation and Higher syllabuses with students of all abilities and have developed many resources to aid the different learning styles and needs of the individual learners.
I am passionate about students enjoying and achieving in maths and a great motivator for me is watching their confidence grow as something clicks into place and witnessing the realisation by the students that an understanding of maths can be an achievable goal and not a subject to be feared.

Availability: Weekdays including evenings

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: Ten and a half years as a Maths Academic Coach in a secondary school successfully coaching students and eight Teaching Assistants to pass their Maths GCSE.
Four years as a Basic Skills Tutor teaching Entry Level 1, Level 1 and Level 2 Adult Numeracy.
