Information about Rene
I am a fully qualified and experienced Maths Teacher and private Maths Tutor with DBS. I have a MSc in Maths (Analysis and Statistics). From September 2015 till Februari 2016 I worked as a Maths teacher a Secondary school for a maternity leave, year 7 11. Since end of November 2015 I also worked as a Maths Tutor, sometimes I worked almost 30 hours per week as a tutor. In the past I did tutoring for free because I really like to help students. But now I am a full time Maths tutor. I like working individually with people and build up their confidence and love for Maths. In teaching Maths I have learned that most people who have problems with Maths have gaps in their Maths skills. Learning and understanding Maths is all about fundamentals. I have the talent to see very quickly which gaps in the fundamentals students have and I have different methods to improve their Maths skills. Being a father of a child with Down Syndrome (10 years old) helped me to be patient but also persistent to teach kids with learning difficulties. I am able to empower and encourage students who lack self-confidence by taking small steps in teaching. Maths is all about analysing problems and dividing in smaller problems and solving those smaller problems one by one.
