My name is Joe Manjón, and I`m a freelance actor and tutor who has been living and working in Madrid for the past 9 years. I have recently returned to the UK , and have over 8 years of teaching and tutoring experience, which is detailed further on my CV.

I am a naturally outgoing, enthusiastic and friendly person, who was brought up in both Spain and the UK. I speak both English and Spanish as a native, and have worked professionally in both countries, in both languages. I was educated in South Wales, completing A Levels in English, Film Studies, Spanish and Drama and Theatre Studies. I then went on to study European Theatre Arts at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, completing an ERASMUS exchange programme in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in Madrid whilst in my second year.

Since graduating, I have worked extensively as both a tutor and actor in both Spain and the UK. My training also helped me develop my communication skills to use in various different contexts, and I began tutoring 8 years ago. Since then I have worked with students of all ages, and have become passionate about helping them gain the necessary confidence and skills to excel in whatever field they choose. I firmly believe that each student is different and has different needs, and that a tutor`s job is to identify these needs, and tailor their approach to the student.

Experience: I have tutored extensive tutoring and teaching experience over the past 8 years - having worked both in an academy structure and privately, with students ranging from the ages of 11-70. I worked with some of Spain`s biggest language academies such as Berlitz Languages and Vaughan Systems, and with companies such as CECA Bank, Heineken and Accenture.

I have most experience teaching English as a second language, helping people prepare and pass their Common European Framework exams, from the lowest (A1) to highest (C2) levels. I have also worked teaching Drama and Spanish to private students in Madrid.

Although I have no formal experience tutoring exams within the UK, I am a hard worker and a fast learner, and am very confident that my experience as both a private tutor and teacher to larger groups will allow me to adapt quickly to both a new environment and new curriculum.
