Information about Chrystalla
AwesomeI studied Biochemistry at Imperial College London and did an MRes in Stem Cell Biology at UCL. I am currently on the first year of my PhD at Imperial College.
As a current PhD student I am very enthusiastic about my field. The main reason I tutor is to get the opportunity to spread my passion to younger individuals, and help them understand key concepts, making the lesson as interesting as possible.
Availability: Weekends / Weekdays (evenings)
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: During the first two years of my undergraduate degree I was volunteering as a tutor to support students, by providing help with their homework, assignments, test revision and study skills. My students were within the 7-10 age range and I was responsible for guiding them complete their homework as well as discovering stimulating material for them to read once a week. During my Masters degree, following a request from some friends, I took the initiative to form a study group for postgraduate computing engineering students, to help them understand basic biological principles to support them with a Bioinformatics module.
Currently and for the past year I have been a free-lance tutor and I have helped a number of IGCSE, AS and A-level students.
Additionally, I have helped graduate students (BSc Biomedical Sciences) with revision and exam preparation for a number of modules including Infection, Immunology, Cell Biology and Molecular Biology.
