Information about Sarah
I am a friendly, approachable and very enthusiastic Psychology and 11 Plus tutor. I can teach from Primary to A Level, pitching content appropriately to ensure success. I have been tutoring for more than 7 years now and absolutely love my job!
I have worked as an examiner for both AQA/EDECEL and OCR exam boards for Psychology and have extensive knowledge of CEM/GL requirements for the 11+.
My passion for learning and teaching, combined with my dedication to building educational success has ensured that all students to date have progressed at A Level, attaining A-A* grades, whilst all of my 11+ pupils have secured places at prestigious Grammer schools.
Availability: I generally tutor in the evenings from 5pm onwards. Please note I do not tutor at weekend. I am very flexible and will work around the needs of the student where I can.

Experience: Extensive experience training in the field of Psychology led to a teaching role as a Psychology teacher. I also have extensive experience as an AQA Examiner and have also worked for. EDEXCEL and OCR. I am now a practising Educational Psychologist so can bring lots of knowledge and practical application. I have taught A level Psychology now for the past 7 years during which time I have prepared pupils for exams with OCR, Edexcel and AQA, covering many of the core elements, bringing fun and enthusiasm to the most difficult of topics such as statistics and Approaches and Biopsychology. I have a very good success rate working with students building confidence and self esteem in essays writing and the nuances of AO1/A03 distinction. Students have thrived under my tutoring, securing A-A* grades despite starting with low attaining grades.
Additional employment within 2 competitive private schools has enhanced my knowledge and understanding of requirements for 11+ exams, working with both CEM and GL examination boards to foster successes for pupils. I have a wealth of knowledge of tutoring English, Maths, NVR and VR components of the course, using specific teaching, exam practice and time management skills to boost confidence and knowledge of topics. Throughout the last 4 years I have secured places at prestigious grammar schools. To date I have 100% success rate for Grammer school entrance.
My flexible and adaptable approach enables me to cater to every child`s needs individually, ensuring they achieve the best possible support. I am reliable and honest and ensure full parent involvement at all times. My teaching style is varied and matches the child requirements. Lessons are perfectly pitched to maximise development whilst fostering self esteem and confidence.

Great lessons. Was apprehensive at first wether my 13 year old would manage a online lesson but it is working out very well. It is simple to navigate and Sarah has managed to keep my daughter engaged and my daughter has enjoyed the lessons.
