I have 11 years of experience teaching Geography in secondary schools across Hampshire, Wiltshire and Somerset and I have been Head of Geography for the past 3 years. I am passionate about providing students with the skills and knowledge to succeed in Geography and have a detailed knowledge of exam board specifications and all topics taught in schools with particular expertise in Weather and Climate, Economic Development, Ecosystems, Hazards, and the NEA. I have taught AQA GCSE, and A-level Geography for 10 years including all parts of the specification and specialise in Physical Geography at A-level. I have extensive knowledge in and detailed resources for the NEA aspect of the A-level Geography qualification and am able to guide students through the process from start to finish. I have also been Head of EPQ in a previous post so am able to apply these skills to the NEA and support students with their projects. I have a patient and empathetic approach to learning and am adaptable to the student`s needs. I am incredibly reliable and can be flexible with the hours required to support a student each week. I specialise in revision techniques and have a wealth of knowledge of online and paper-based resources that I am happy to share with any clients. I go the extra mile in supporting students with learning, such as providing homework or quiz resources to assess learning and provide next steps in learning to achieve the best results.
