I am a Behavioural Scientist postgraduate and an a experienced qualified teached with a good understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher. I am competent in using effective and varied teaching strategies as students learn best when there are diverse ranges of methods used. As a result, I adopt different teaching strategies in my lessons for instance, a mix of teacher led approaches and student active sections. I have good communication skills both orally and written, I am confident in my teaching methods and working strategies to motivate students to achieve their full potential. I am very professional, committed, target driven, energetic and self-motivated teacher with a dedication to learners’ achievement and success. Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today" (Malcolm X.) This incredible quote from Malcolm X epitomises what I believe in. I strive to instil a love of learning and to make learning exciting and interesting so learners do not regard learning as a chore but a means of empowering themselves which can only lead to success.

Experience: I have taught globally to enrich my experiences and develop as a teacher. I worked at Leeds City college for over 4 years, I have taught Health and Social Care Level 1 - 3 and functional skills Mathematics and English to students from different background and ages. These included, delivering lecture style lessons to encourage students to take notes to reinforce their literacy skills and all of which have incorporated different teaching and learning styles to meet the needs of all learners.

I spent a year in China, teaching English to post 16+ students in China and training my department to use different teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners. As an Oral English teacher in China, I have had the responsibilities to develop and plan my own lessons, which engaged and motived students. I was working in a busy environment and relishing, the challenge of teaching students from different background and culture. I was able to establish a supportive relationship not only with my students but also with their parents and other teachers all with the aim of promoting and reinforcing the students` learning, independence and self-esteem.

In between all I have taken extra teaching jobs with work agencies to help reinforce my abilities to work towards deadline and be an excellent teacher.
