Information about Frederick

Personal Biography: I graduated from Imperial College London with a 2:1 degree in Chemistry with molecular physics. I also have a postgraduate masters in Computational physics. I have many hours of paid tutoring experience (tutoring physics, maths, further maths, chemistry and biology, at all academic levels). In addition, I also have a lot of mentoring experience, as well as QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).

From 2013 to 2015 I was a tutor/rising leader for a charity leadership programme called Team-Up. During my time there I tutored GCSE and A level chemistry, physics, maths, and biology to disadvantaged (but very bright) students.

I was a mentor for STEM OUTREACH at Imperial College London - I mentored physics, chemistry, biology, chemistry to disadvantaged (but bright) 14-18 year old students.

I have extensive experience in tutoring the following areas:

A level Chemistry (OCR A. OCR B, AQA, Edexcel, Eduqas).

GCSE Chemistry (IGCSE Edexcel, OCR, AQA, Edexcel)

A level Physics (OCR A, OCR B, AQA A, AQA B, Edexcel)

GCSE Physics (IGCSE Edexcel, OCR, AQA, Edexcel)

A level Maths (OCR, MEI, AQA, Edexcel) - This includes M1, M2, S1, S2, C1, C2, C3, C4

A level Further Maths (OCR, MEI, AQA, Edexcel) - This includes M2, M3, M4, M5, FP1, FP2, FP3, FP4, S3, S4

Personal Approach:

When I was a student at sixth form, I was forced to self-teach A2 level further mathematics, and A2 additional further mathematics. This experience helped me to discover how to learn new concepts in a more intuitive (and efficient) manner the experience is what helped me to become a great tutor.

I make sure that I thoroughly read through the exam specification for each subject that I am tutoring. Due to my extensive knowledge in chemistry, physics, maths, and further maths - I don`t mind which subject we cover on the day. I make sure that I spend the most time covering the topics that the tutee is actually struggling with - which is the most efficient way of helping the student reach their personal goal (and beyond).

Availability: Every weekday, after 5 PM.

Every weekend.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I have over 12000 hours of paid tutoring experience (tutoring physics, maths, further maths, chemistry and biology, at all academic levels). In addition, I also have over 700 hours of paid mentoring experience.

[Volunteering] Team Up (2013-2015): Tutored GCSE chemistry, physics, maths, and biology to underprivileged year 12 and year 13 students.

I tutor (chemistry, physics, maths, and biology) for numerous (top) tutoring agencies in London.

Spectroscopy in a Suitcase (2014-2015): Taught year 12 and year 13 students about spectroscopy (IR and UV-Vis, NMR) and mass spectrometry.

Homework Club (2015-Present): Tutor/teach chemistry, physics, maths, and biology to Key stage 1-4 students.

Global Summer School (2015): Academic and pastoral mentor.

We would thoroughly recommend Frederick. He has tutored our son in A-Level Maths and Physics in the months leading up to his exams, proving to be a first-class teacher. As a result, our son has grown considerably in confidence in both subjects.
