Experienced Primary School Teacher, available to teach Early Years to Upper Key Stage 2.

I have a degree in Primary Education and have been a primary school teacher for the last 16 years, teaching Nursery – Key Stage 2. Over the last few years I have been based in Reception. Each year a high percentage of children within my class have made outstanding progress and achieved excellent outcomes meeting the expected standard and higher in Reading, Writing, Maths and Phonics.

Through my role as a Supply Teacher, I have secured my subject knowledge of the primary curriculum across all subjects. My passion is teaching reading and writing and I always use high-quality books to inspire learning and provide opportunities for amazing outcomes in writing and reading comprehension. Although I specialise in English, I have many years experience teaching maths as well.

I have built up a wide range of teaching strategies and resources to support children`s learning and tailor this to meet any individual needs. I understand that not all children learn in the same way and I strive to find a way that works best for individuals. I am dedicated to helping each and every child to reach their potential. My nature and teaching style is calm, encouraging and positive. I believe in praise and building confidence in ability as well as academic success.

I am offering tutoring online for primary school pupils. I can do this over Zoom or another platform that parents feel comfortable with. I can help children with homework tasks they have been set, or any areas of Maths or English that they are currently struggling with.

I have been tutoring online occasionally throughout 2020 - 2021 and I have found that the children respond well to 1:1 learning and time with a teacher. The sessions have been extremely successful and the parents and children have been happy.
