I am a recent graduate from the University of Edinburgh, leaving with a 2:1 MA in History. My main area of interest is in Modern American History, my dissertation being titled "To what extent did the Vietnam Syndrome influence American public debate and policy formulation during the Bosnian War?" My final year courses were also based on modern American history, being titled "The Rise of the Right in the United States" and "The American Civil Rights Movement." I also did a year abroad in America at the University of Richmond, further ingratiating myself into both American culture and history. Outside of education, my primary interests lie in football, rugby and playing guitar.

Experience: Whilst History is my primary interest, I would also feel comfortable tutoring in other subjects as well. These would include my other A level topics of Politics and Classical Civilisations, which I have also taken courses for whilst at Edinburgh. I am also currently undergoing online courses in Pyschology, which may also become something I am comfortable in teaching.

I have no prior formal tutoring experience, but was part of a group in secondary school that was tasked with helping struggling students in various topics. I do have some experience in working with children, having done some babysitting for a few years, and I generally feel comfortable around children and doing my best to help them learn.
