I am an experienced tutor, GCSE and A level examiner and history teacher with over 20 years teaching experience. I have a proven track record for achieving outstanding results at GCSE and A level. I use a variety of different methods to achieve success, combining interesting lessons and activities, solid understanding of topics with a clear understanding of the right structure to use in exam situations to get the highest marks. I know the major exam boards and can guide students and help them to reach the top grades

I know what I takes to get results in History. My tutees got outstanding grades this year and were able to take the next step, whatever they wanted to do either at a level or gcse. I am an experienced examiner, I mark several different papers and I moderate a level coursework for the exam boards. I have a clear insight as to what pupils need to do to achieve. I am patient and enthusiastic about history, This motivates and inspires tutees to achieve their best irrespective of their ability. Pupils always enjoy my lessons and often if they have been tutored by me for gcse they want me to help them at a level.

I am a friendly and professional teacher and feel the best way to work with tutees is to have an open an honest relationship with them and their families, this helps them inform me what they need to help them reach their potential and beyond. I have tutored oxbridge students and supported those with difficulty in terms of exam techniques or learning difficulties. I spend a lot of time preparing for tutoring sessions to ensure that every minute helps to meet the tutees needs. Availability: Evenings and weekends.I can also offer extra lessons during the holidays and in the run up to important exams. I am happy to find a time that suits both me and the tutee.
