I am a passionate primary school teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience. Education holds the power to transform the lives of individuals, I therefore believe that fostering a love of learning in students is fundamental in helping them reach their full potential. My teaching philosophy revolves around developing the confidence of students, creating a supportive and nurturing environment, where all students feel valued, challenged and empowered to succeed.
I currently work full time in a primary school and have up to date knowledge on the pedagogy of teaching and the National Curriculum expectations. I have experience of working in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Teaching across all year groups enabled me to develop a variety of skills allowing me to adapt my teaching to the age and needs of the students. I use a range of approaches to support children master the skills they require.
I am a firm believer in the power of student-centered learning, where students are active participants in their educational journey. By fostering a collaborative and inquiry-based environment, I encourage students to think critically, communicate effectively, and develop essential problem-solving skills. I believe in providing constructive feedback and personalised support to each student, ensuring that they reach their full potential academically and socially.
Availability: Available Thursday and Friday evening and weekends.
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: I have over 10 years experience teaching in primary schools as well as small group and 1.1 tutoring. I am available to tutor in-person and online.
