Information about Isabel
I teach in a high performing secondary school in Hillingdon, and I am therefore more than prepared to offer additional tutoring for your child. My lessons have been deemed `Outstanding` consistently over my teaching career.
I love my job, especially working with students on a 1:1 basis, where they can achieve and get more out of the task at hand.
Due to the upcoming GCSEs, there isn`t a more perfect time to start considering tutoring for your child. I can help in teaching context, exam and revision techniques, essay writing, as well as close textual analysis.
I am experienced with working with students that are SEN, EAL and those of both a low and high academic nature. This also includes those that are both low and high in motivation.
Finally, I have also worked as an AQA English Language Examiner, so have a vast knowledge of this exam paper.
Availability: Evenings and weekends.

Experience: Fully qualified Secondary English and Media teacher. I have been teaching for over four years, and graduated from King`s College London. I can offer tutoring at KS3, KS4 level, and KS5 in English Literature, English Language and Media Studies.

My daughter has just had Isabel as her tutor to help her with her GCSE English Language resit. Isabel has given my daughter the tools and the confidence to resit her exam on Monday and today Wednesday. My daughter was much more confident sitting the exams and came out of them feeling much more positive than when she first took them. Isabel made my daughter feel at ease immediately and my daughter says she was very easy to get on with and she liked her style of teaching. She also says that she learnt new techniques and ways of planning that she had not been taught at her school. When my daughter first started with Isabel she kept stressing saying she couldn’t do it and didn’t want to do it, but after her sessions with Isabel she was like another child, so relaxed, confident and positive, and even though she only had Isabel for a short period of time, when it came to the exams she was not stressed at all. Isabel has been amazing, and she is so lovely too, not just with my daughter but with me too and of course the pet dog. I cannot thank Isabel enough and I highly recommend her. Thank you Isabel. Isabel tutored my year 11 daughter earlier this year in Eng Lang and Eng Lit. She got her results today (GCSE`s) and got a 9 in Eng Lang and an 8 in Eng Lit! She was predicted 7`s and so is absolutely delighted and we are both sure these higher grades were because of Isabel`s subject knowledge, advice and expertise. She is a fab tutor that knows her stuff and I would higher recommend her to everyone looking for a professional and lovely tutor.
