Information about Thomas
I am a recent graduate from Queen Mary, University of London. After achieving a first class BA in English literature I continued my studies with a Masters, for which I was awarded a Distinction. I approach each tutee as an individual, ensuring I know exactly what they want from me, so I can tailor sessions in order to effectively cater to their needs.
Availability: I am currently available full time.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I was awarded a distinction for my MA and a first class for my BA, both in English literature. During my studies I specialised in Modernist and early twentieth century literature, working on writers such as James Joyce, Virginia Woolf, T.S. Eliot, and F. Scott Fitzgerald. However, I have also worked on writers across the literary cannon, from the renaissance to the contemporary.
From my studies, I have extensive essay writing experience and am capable of guiding students through the entire essay writing process, from critical reading of texts, to planning, to writing and editing.
I also have experience tutoring English to international students struggling with the language, covering both formal and informal English and proofreading written assignments.
