Qualified Teacher of Science, I graduated as an `Outstanding` teacher. I have worked as a tutor for 6 years with a wide range of pupils of different needs.

I have a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry so am able to help tutor Biology and Chemistry A level and a range of GCSE subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics and Physics.

I am an experienced scientist having worked in different laboratories including minerals and algal biotechnology. I have an excellent understanding of Biology and Chemistry but also have experience working in industrial and research labs so understand the real-life applications of science which really helps contextualise the subject for my students.

I really like to take science outside of the classroom and love engaging students in a practical way. I LOVE my subject and love discussion in order to further understanding. I think part of my success as a teacher is my enthusiasm and need to have fun. I try to remind my students exactly how exciting science actually is outside of textbooks.

I enjoy a lot of science outreach having talked at the Eden project, taken part in SoapBox Scientist and talked at local schools and colleges. I also work alongside The Brilliant Club charity to get more pupils interested in higher education.
