I am a Masters student at Durham University, studying Ancient History and I graduated from Swansea University with a 2:1 in my undergradute studies. While Ancient History is my area of expertise I am well versed in other areas of History such as, modern and medieval. My studies also cross over with Religious Studies as the study of history amd religion are often entwined. My teaching style is focused on discussion, allowing a student to express their thoughts and ideas outload. Which can then be applied to the evidence and facts.

Experience: I have experience teaching children from my time spent in The Young Actors, where I helped develop skills in children from ages 4 to 16. Helping them build confidence in a fun environment, allowing them to learn at their own speed and take on responsibilities within the productions. This has helped me develop communication skills that are vital to draw a student into the conversation. When teaching the Young Actors, I always wanted them to take charge, I was only there to steer the production to keep it on course. I gave them the ability to explore ideas that excited them within the productions, which meant they stayed engaged during each session.
My extensive Historical and Religious research has equipped me with a deep understanding and appreciation for the subjects. Which puts me in a unique position to expand upon the subjects if required.
Furthermore, I myself have struggled and needed support throughout my education and understand the frustration students can feel when they can’t quite grasp a lesson. Therefore, my tutoring focuses on the individual, understanding their needs and helping them overcome any obstacles they may face. I want each student to achieve their potential.
