I hold a Masters Degree (MA) in History from Cambridge University. I am a qualified teacher with 30 years experience of teaching A level History and Politics and have a proven track record of helping students achieve their academic potential. My knowledge and experience of the subjects I teach, and of current exam board specifications, means I can add value to the performance of any student. I also help undergraduate students studying Modern History or Politics/PPE.
Availability: Weekday evenings and weekends during term time. Weekends and weekday mornings and afternoons outside of term time.

Experience: I have 30 years experience of teaching History and Politics in outstanding schools. I was Head of Politics for 10 years before becoming Head of Sixth Form. My extensive teaching experience has allowed me to forge a successful parallel career as an educational consultant, training teachers in how to teach History and Politics. I also run my own Higher Education consultancy helping UK and international students with university applications and personal statements.

I could not recommend Gary highly enough. He is passionate and deeply knowledgeable about his subject and dedicated and committed to his tutees. He goes above and beyond to help and I could not wish for a better tutor for my daughter who is doing A-level politics and has been struggling but is now slowly turning things around.

I was very impressed with Gary`s tutorials. He has fantastic communication skills and organisational skills. He has vast subject knowledge and Curriculum knowledge. Gary is friendly and eager to help and uses good examples that helped me understand the problem. After every session I had with Gary, I felt more confident in approaching the assignment.
