My name is Laura, I am 25 years old and come from Silkeborg, Denmark. I moved to London in 2017 to study Contemporary Dance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire.

I love teaching and am very interested in different ways of communicating and learning languages. I understand the difference in teaching adults and children due to their different ways and pace of learning. I really enjoy finding the best way for each student to learn and I acknowledge and try to incorporate new teaching methods.

After high school I started working as supply teacher in Danish primary and secondary schools teaching English, Danish, math, science, social science, PE, history, domestic science, Dance etc. to children at the age of 5-15. I led and planned the classes myself and also had one-to-one tutoring with children with special needs. I consider myself an openminded and enthusiastic communicator with a lot of experience in pedagogical awareness.

Furthermore I gained teaching and child care experience with children aged 3-12 when I was travelling and living in Africa two years ago. Through this job I gained a lot of experience in looking after, playing with and giving the necessary love and attention to the kids. This job really increased my understanding of the unique needs in the learning process of every individual.

Experience: I have taught Danish, Science, History, Math, PE, Social Science and English in primary schools in Denmark.

I am currently teaching Danish to two British girls at the age of 6 and 9 and an adult.
