Information about Ton
Graduated with First Class Honours in Neuroscience iBSc (King`s College London) and in final year of medical studies, I have consistently excelled in academia. For the last six years as a private tutor, I have imparted first hand knowledge of my success` helping my students gain acceptance into Russell Group universities and prestigious private schools every year.
The key to success, not only lies with the student`s scientific and mathematical abilities, but also the experiences and strengths shown in their UCAS and 11+ entrance applications. Helped with organising work experience placements, providing guidance towards UCAS applications and ensuring that adequate homework/revision material are readily available, have inevitably lead to the success` of my students, reflected by their positive testimonials mentioned below.
My academic results are as follows:
Medicine: Pending
Neuroscience BSc.: First Class Honours
A2: A* Maths, A* Chemistry, A* Biology, A Physics
AS: A Further Maths
GCSE`s: 10 A*s (Including Triple science , Maths and English) A (Additional Maths).
I am taking on students for the 18/19 academic year. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested or have any additional queries.
Availability: A minimum of two hours per lesson.
Students who are located further than 5 miles from me and require me to travel to their home, will incur a £10 additional fee. Lessons can otherwise be taken over skype or at a location suitable for me.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: My extensive experience in tutoring Maths and Sciences have allowed me to recognise different learning styles and to adapt in teaching at different levels. Combined with my unique approach in explaining difficult concepts and solutions, I have been able to help my students exceed their expected exam results. Examination questions follow closely with their concurrent specifications and therefore these are used extensively but not solely to the approach I take. To truly excel in science and maths, a genuine interest and excitement must be cultivated during an early stage in the learning process and therefore where possible I try my best during lessons to explain the societal needs, benefits, uses and importance for what students are learning, to further their engagement in these subjects. Regular reinforced learning is integral to the consolidation of knowledge, which is in part fulfilled by regular homework assignments.
