I am a qualified teacher with a masters degree in applied neuropsychology and a first class honours degree in Psychology, graduating top of my cohort. However, my strengths as a tutor are not about my knowledge but developing yours. I will help you to understand the concepts that most baffle you by breaking them down and making them relatable to you. I`ll help you identify your exam answer strengths and weaknesses, provide you with past papers and help you to decode mark schemes. You will know how you should be answering and as well as revising in a time effective way that enables you to show your knowledge to the fullest!!
Psychology is a illuminating subject and if exam anxiety or struggles with concepts have taken the shine off it for you, I will help you to find the fascination again!
I am a practicing teacher working part-time in schools so I am continuously improving and developing my practice and in touch with exam developments and reports.
Outside of teaching, I am a bit of an amateur singer with pub-gig experience and previously I was a keen showjumper and a British Horse Society riding instructor, teaching freelance, for the Pony Club and at respected establishments. So teaching whatever I`m passionate about across a wide age range comes naturally!

I am available during school hours on Mondays and Thursdays. Thursday evenings are negotiable as well.
In school holidays, tutoring can be available flexibly so please contact me to discuss this.
Please note that I will usually require a week`s notice to book in a lesson. Do feel free to contact me if you require tutoring at shorter notice than this but please do not be disappointed if I am unavailable.

Experience: I have experience of teaching AQA Psychology in Sixth Form and a particular strength in delivering research methods in an accessible way that has enabled even the most RM-phobic students to grasp and begin to enjoy this aspect of the specification. All my topic teaching will link to RM throughout and encourage you to apply your RM knowledge in your discussion of all parts of the specification as this is absolutely key to achieving the best grade possible. I have also mentored degree students on their essay and report writing skills as well as developing research skills.
