Information about Louise
Hi, my name is Louise and I have over 10 years experience tutoring GCSE History, and A Level History and Politics. I have experience teaching at an Undergraduate and Masters level at several UK universities, and also in marking exam papers for AQA, OCR and EdExcel. I am able to offer assistance with all aspects of the National Curriculum for History and Politics, including practice papers, help with coursework and assignments, and exam prep. I`m happy to teach one to one or in a small group and can also teach online courses.
I gained my PhD in 2012 and have Bachelors and Masters degrees in Modern History and Cultural and Linguistic Anthropology.
Availability: Weekday daytimes and evenings after 6pm

Louise is an excellent tutor and we’d highly recommend her. My son had to study History privately in his final GCSE year due to a change of schools and we were fortunate enough to find Louise to teach him. Louise has excellent subject knowledge and struck up a great rapport with my son, knowing how to get the most out of him. He came out with a grade 8 at GCSE and we’re continuing tutoring with Louise for A Level.

Louise supported Tom throughout most of his L6 year and all of his U6 studies and we were delighted to have found her.
She quickly established a rapport with him ; igniting his interest in politics and throughout the last crucial months of revision and essay practice supported him all the way by setting extra essay practice and giving constructive and consistent feedback.
Louise was quick to involve Tom in the local politics scene as a volunteer giving him practical insight into this world.
We nervously await A Level results but safe in the knowledge that we could not have had better support for Tom in this crucial U6 year.
