I achieved 10 A* at GCSE and A*A*A*A at A Level, and an A in my Dentistry-related Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). During my 2012 application cycle for Dentistry I scored 730 average in the UKCAT and received 3 offers after 3 interviews from Kings College London, Manchester and Newcastle. My interviews were varied in that some were MML (multiple mini interview) and others traditional panel-based.

All of this was self-taught with little help from my state school and no personal tutor. Therefore, I have a great understanding through the process of how I learnt and prepared for the pre-application tests and interviews, through the usage of books, and my own drive and motivation.

I enjoy having the portfolio aspect to my career as both a practicing clinician and tutor. I take a personal approach to tutoring and enjoy exploring what each tutee`s motivations and strengths are, and believe that focusing on a candidate`s unique motivation is what ultimately results in a sincere, authentic and successful application.
