Information about Susie
During this Covid time I am mostly tutoring on-line, unless social distancing can be maintained.
I have taught maths in selective and non-selective schools, and have years of experience as a personal tutor at both GCSE and A Level with all the major exam boards. I also lecture maths to economics undergraduates at London University.
After twenty years in banking I am now doing something that I love. I have a postgraduate qualification in teaching secondary school mathematics, an engineering degree from Imperial College, and an MBA from Columbia University in New York.
I can provide many references if needed; a majority of my tutees now come via personal referrals.
As we get closer to exams, working on past papers becomes key and I ask my students to sign up to doing an agreed number of past papers each week on their own so we can plug the gaps during our time together.
I often overrun the hour, but never charge extra unless by prior agreement.
I am cheerful, energetic and caring, and enjoy seeing students start to enjoy maths.
Availability: Weekdays, evenings, weekends. I generally tutor in various locations in central Cambridge or at my home in Bourn.
I sometimes travel to students homes, but may need to charge for that if it displaces tutoring time. If I pass near your home road then there will be no charge.
Willing to travel: 4 miles
Experience: I have taught maths in selective and non-selective schools, and have years of experience as a personal tutor at both GCSE and A Level with all the major exam boards. I also lecture maths to economics undergraduates at London University.

We had an excellent experience with Susie`s tutoring. Our son had lost some 2-3 calendar months of school around Christmas and needed maths support. Susie took the challenge and covered up the lost ground patiently, methodically and very effective. Our son was very pleased and encouraged with Susie and we believe she extracted the best out of him. Clearly very knowledgeable about the subject and the examination system. We are very happy with her support, we highly recommend her.
