Information about Thomas
Hi, I`m Tom, a History and English tutor based in London with over five years of experience, and a University of Warwick Graduate. I have been teaching for five years, and am currently giving tuition in History and English at KS3, GCSE and Degree level, to a variety of young and adult learners across all exam boards. Above all I value empathy, patience, and taking a varied approach to suit individual learning styles. I always make sure my lessons are fun and engaging, focussing on building up a knowledge and passion for the subject in my students, while also making sure they can wrap their heads around exam theory in order to attain the highest marks possible.
Availability: All days of the week evenings and weekends. Mondays and Wednesdays preferred.

Experience: I have been working as a teaching assistant and tutor for over five years, covering a wide variety of topics and exam boards, ranging from KS3 to undergraduate level.

Thomas is extremely good at communication. He responded my messages very swiftly. The only reason that I rate 4 stars is because my daughter had 1 lesson with him only, so the experience is too short for us to give 5 stars.

Tom is very precise and has explained so much to me in a way that is organised and edited. He allows you to condense information in a manageable way which is really important in answering essay questions in history. It’s made me more confident and I really enjoy his lessons. We’ve had some great conversations relating to the topic which allows me to have a greater contextual understanding.
