Information about Nick
Albert Einstein once said, "Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything that has been learned in school." I`m not quite sure I agree with him - we all know the concrete benefits a good `education` can bring, and now, more than ever, private tuition has an increasingly important role to play whether your aim is to boost grades, make up for time out of school or simply to bolster confidence.
25 years` experience in youth work and education, in both the state and independent sectors, has only gone to underpin my conviction that developing people is what education is really about. This does not mean that `doing the stuff` academically has to take a back seat, it just means that helping individuals achieve their full academic potential means so much more than getting them grades on a spreadsheet.
Developing character whilst stretching minds is powerful stuff - that`s what real teaching is. That`s what I aim to do.
