Information about Paul

I am a recent Law Graduate with an Honours Law degree achieved through the Open University (OU). Two of the modules studied in my degree were psychology and psychotherapy as this subject was also of high interest.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

In my voluntary role as a Victim Support Officer I write reports for every client assessment interaction which are then conveyed to my manager for further investigations. These reports are used by my manager to ascertain if the client is satisfied with the support they have received and to assess any additional support needs that the client may have. I have also, supported clients in completing criminal injuries compensation application forms, which they would otherwise not complete on their own. As this may be daunting after having endured a criminal incident. I am meticulous in report writing, which requires high levels are literacy and computer skills. In addition, in my role as a Victim Support Officer, the primary aspect of my role is to interview clients who have been victims of crime. As an interviewer, I have excellent interpersonal skills in order to put clients at ease and share their experience with me. Interviewing techniques were part of my core training for Victim Support and I have had excellent feedback from both clients and colleagues about the way I conduct client meetings. Trainees have been encouraged, by my manager to sit in on my meetings as they demonstrate such high levels of expertise.
