Hola, me llamo Katie! I have a passion for language, learning and helping young people to achieve. While my current profession, as a paediatric speech and language therapist is centred around helping young people to communicate and develop their language, I still want to use my MA and BA experiences to encourage and inspire young people to learn Spanish. I want to show them how learning a new language can truly open a world of opportunities, experiences, and memories.

Experience: I graduated from Swansea University with BA Hons Spanish and French in 2017. As part of my undergraduate course, I spent a year in sunny Almeria working as a language assistant in bilingual primary schools, teaching English and giving private tutoring sessions to young children, and adults. From there, I went on to study MA Interpreting and Translation in Spanish, graduating with a distinction in 2019.

During the pandemic, I went back to university for a third time, to become a Speech and Language therapist. I am proud to say that I now live and work in Manchester as a paediatric SALT, and would love to also be able to tie in my education with the Spanish language to tutor and inspire young people.
